Move Smarter, Not Harder
After the birth of my daughter, I suffered severe pain and movement restrictions in my neck and shoulders. My daughter's preschool teacher recommended that I try 3 Feldenkrais lessons. This was nothing like other treatments I had with physical therapy or chiropractors. It was so gentle, I didn't really think it would work. But after 2 lessons, I was out of pain and could turn my head and move my shoulders. I was so impressed with the results, I quit my job and entered a 4-year Feldenkrais Training program in Los Angeles, California.
Upon graduation in 1994, I worked for 2 years at a medical practice in Leucadia, California specializing in pain, movement limitations, children, seniors, stroke victims and sports injuries. Since then, I have been in private practice here in San Marcos, serving Fallbrook, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Vista, Oceanside, Poway and Escondido.
Having taught in elementary school, physical education, adaptive PE and emotionally disturbed children, I have a BA in Elementary Education from Western State College, in Gunnison, Colorado. My educational background combined with over 10 years of studies in movement education, allows me to help adults and children overcome pain and injuries by discovering what activities cause problems and then helping my client discover more efficient ways to work smarter, not harder.
